This piece is absolutely gorgeous, it’s almost as you would get a coffee with Gerhard Richter and Jean Paul Riopelle (although it would have needed to be until 2002 🙂
I sought to expand the boundaries of abstract painting. I used a palette knife, spatula, a trowel and clean large canvas got a powerful atmosphere. Riopelle’s voluminous impasto became just as important as color. I went after him.
For me lyrical abstraction represented an opening to personal expression.
I wanted my painting to go into that direction and seems to radiate light and tremendous feelings of peace.
Let those rich fluid color and quiet energy fill the space in your living room or office. Consume on the wall!
